Jenny is dedicated to nurturing young talents, assisting in the development of portfolios, and passionately fostering a sense of community through the medium of art. Graduated from Pratt Institute, Jenny's interest in both design and fine arts, Jenny is committed to inspiring creativity and building connections.
Art Village offers a supportive environment where students can explore diverse artistic mediums, ensuring academic excellence and contributing to a rich community through art exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative projects. Alongside a dedicated team of educators and artists, Jenny endeavours to make art accessible, inspire future generations, and utilize art as a tool that unite the community.
Taeyoung Kim
Portfolio Prep Class | Adult Class (Korean)
Graduated from Seoul National University, College of Fine Arts, Taeyoung taught as an adjunct professor at Jeju National University. For 25 years, he successfully prepared students for art and design university entrance exams in South Korea. After moving to Vancouver 15 years ago, he has been guiding students to prestigious universities all over Canada, US, and Europe.

Grace Chen
Digital Art Class | Junior Art Class
Grace is an artist based in the Lower Mainland and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Grace is motivated by creating imaginative work that explores the relationships between different ideas and identities. Her goal is to continuously inspire others and nurture creativity and curiosity in the community.
Claire Breedveld
Digital Art Class | Junior Art Class
Claire is our digital art specialist. She graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Graphic and Digital Design diploma. She also did broad exploratory coursework in visual arts, including painting, printmaking, film photography, and sculpture, and has been a student of the creative arts her whole life. (Fun fact - she also dabbles in music and theatre!) Claire loves helping students discover their artistic potential, push creative boundaries, and explore new artistic media and techniques.
Tania Serna
Junior Art Class
Tania is an aspiring curator and the one you’d contact for your pet portraits. She earned an outstanding academic certificate in Introductory Curatorial Practices with the Mombó Art Gallery back in 2021 and these days has furthered her studies in Art History with the Carlos III University of Madrid. At this time, Tania is a docent at the Surrey Art Gallery where she receives training and feedback from curators, artists and educators. By engaging in weekly guided tours for school groups at SAG and contributing to education at Art Village Visual Arts School, Tania instills a love for art and an appreciation for creative expression in young minds.
